However, while you have the pack on your Atomichub inventory or WAX Wallet, pack opening will become available on the 21st of March 2022 - around 12 pm GMT+8 or 4 AM UTC. Redemption Period

What do I get from the KOGs Limited Edition: Grimspiel 2 pack?

The pack you crafted contains 1 Ultra Rare KOGs from the Grimspiel 2 collection and can be opened starting 21st March 2022 12 PM GMT+8 or 4 AM UTC onwards.

These Limited Edition KOGs will be tubeable and be eligible for future rewards.

How to use Crafting Materials to Craft Limited Edition Redemption on the 14th of March?

The recipe for crafting will be as follows.

To access the new KOGs Crafting feature, log in your WAX Address on the KOGs My Collections page, click here - https://app.kogs.gg/rewards

Step 1 : You will see a new feature or tab that says “Rewards” to view all your Crafting Materials.

Select “My Rewards” to then choose the Crafting Materials you will use as ingredients to craft the new Limited Edition KOGs NFTs .

Step 2 : Select the Crafting Materials KOGs NFTs that you will use as ingredients.

You can choose “Select by Recipe” for the system to automatically select the Crafting Materials to be used. Please note that the system will choose the highest numbered Crafting Material NFTs for this.

Step 3 : The page will ask you if you are sure about burning your Crafting Materials to craft the new Limited Edition. We want to make sure that you are sure, you know~

If you click on “Yes I’m Sure” then please know that all Crafting Material NFTs you used as ingredients will be burned. Kaput! Bye-bye!

In return for the new Limited Edition KOGs NFT – This time, Grimspiel 2 collection.

You will be directed to the page in the image below when you successfully crafted the Limited Edition KOGs.

How to use KOGs Craft Limited Edition Redemption on the 15th of March?

To access the new KOGs Redemption feature, log in your WAX Address on the KOGs My Collections page, click here - https://app.kogs.gg/redeem

Step 1: You will see a new feature or tab that says “Redemption” and choose the edition you will use as ingredients to craft the new Limited Edition KOGs NFTs.

Step 2 : Select 20 Common, 10 Common, 5 Rare and 1 Ultra Rare KOGs NFTs that you will use as ingredients. Crafting KOGs: Limited Edition this way will consume and burn 36 of your untubed legacy KOGs NFTs. So, make sure you use only the NFTs that you are willing to burn.

You can choose “Select 36 KOGs” for the system to automatically select the KOGs NFT to be used. Please note that the system will choose the highest minted numbered KOGs NFTs to be used for the redemption.

You will need the following untubed KOGs NFTs to craft:

Common - 20pcs
Uncommon - 10pcs
Rare - 5pcs
Ultra Rare - 1pc

Step 3 : If you have the exact amount of ingredients, click on “PROCEED”. Make sure you are very sure of the KOGs that you want to use as ingredients. The crafting KOGs process will consume the ingredients or burn the NFTs used as ingredients.

Step 4 : The page will ask you if you are sure about burning your Legacy KOGs to craft the new Limited Edition. We want to make sure that you are sure, you know~

If you click on “Yes I’m Sure” then please know that the 36 KOGs NFTs you used as ingredients will be burned. Kaput! Bye-bye! KOGs Introduces New CHOOBs Staking Program for Earning New NFT Crafting Materials

Today, KOGs is launching a new platform that gives you the opportunity to stake your KOGs CHOOBs and gain a new type of reward: crafting materials for access to new KOGs packs and more. All you need to do is make CHOOBs, stake them, and relax until you get special collectible crafting materials that bring you one step closer to getting access to upcoming KOGs launches such as Grimspiel 2 KOGs packs. This CHOOBs staking platform will be a monthly event that will bring long-term benefits to the KOGs community.

To introduce the KOGs community to this new feature, we are doing a soft launch for CHOOBs staking in December. You have between December 16 to 18 to complete your KOGs CHOOBs and stake them (staking window). The staking period starts on December 19 and ends on December 31, and you’ll receive your crafting materials by then. The more CHOOBs you stake, the more crafting materials you can earn.

Moving forward, starting in January 2023, the monthly schedule for CHOOBs staking will be as follows:

1st –5th of each month: Staking Window. Users will have 5 days to complete the tubes. Once users complete the tube, they also need to stake their tubes before our system starts the staking event.
6th of each month (00:00 UTC - 07:00 am UTC+7): Staking event starts.
6th until the last day of each month: Staking period. Users just chill and wait until the staking period ends.
Last day of each month: Staking event ends. Users can claim their crafting materials.

This new promo is an exciting opportunity for our KOGs community to continue supporting our Grimspiel series of KOGs, while also encouraging people to trade KOGs among themselves to complete their CHOOBs and get more out of their KOGs collections. Eventually, as promo participants earn their crafting materials after staking their CHOOBs, they can also trade these crafting materials with each other to get closer to exciting goals such as owning new limited-edition KOGs packs, like the second edition of the popular Grimspiel series. Other benefits to this new CHOOBs staking include forging, redemption, pack sales, and more, which we will discuss in detail soon.

Here’s how the new promo works:

1. Visit https://app.kogs.gg to convert your collected KOGs into CHOOBs. We encourage you to trade for the KOGs that you need to complete your CHOOBs. Please take note that you need to have enough CPU resources when choobing up and that there is a fee of 5 WAX.

2. Once you successfully completed your CHOOBs, go to the My Tubes section on the platform. You’ll see your completed CHOOBs there.

3. On the My Tubes section, select the CHOOBs that you want to stake for this new promo. Do this by December 18 so that your CHOOBs can qualify for the staking period that begins on December 19, 00:00 UTC.

4. Once this is done, you can see which CHOOBS you’ve staked on the My Stake page. All you need to do is relax and wait for the end of the staking period.

5. Once the staking period ends on December 31, you can claim your staking rewards in the form of crafting materials by clicking on the Rewards page at https://app.kogs.gg .

This new CHOOBs staking promo is just the first of many things we have in store for you in preparation for the eventual launch of the Grimspiel 2 KOGs collection. We’ll reveal more information about the crafting materials and other ways to get access to Grimspiel 2 in the coming days, to keep things more interesting for our community.

KOGs 1st Edition Starter Packs contain 25 tokens apiece. We’ll define each of the variations in the sections below. But for now, here’s a breakdown of what every Starter Pack includes:

Booster Packs

KOGs 1st Edition Booster Packs contain six tokens, with the following distribution:

Now that you're familiar with what’s inside each pack, let’s go over what sets them apart from each other .

KOGs vs. Slammers

If you’ve ever played a game of POGs, you already know the difference. The ‘standard’ pieces are stacked up before players take turns trying to flip them over. And the same concept applies here.

Each player adds KOGs to make a stack, and then both combatants take turns slamming the pile with a ‘heavier’ Slammer.

The NFT’s border is what determines the difference between a KOG and a Slammer. You can quickly identify a Slammer by its faux metal border :

Both Starter Packs and Booster Packs contain a ‘Special Slot’ in which a randomly generated NFT will appear. An algorithm determines what’s inside every pack, and here’s what may pop up while opening one:

Overall, the 1st Edition of KOGs consists of 112 different designs — 100 KOGs and 12 Slammers. But that’s not to say there are only 112 pieces to collect. In fact, there are 3,414!

How does that figure swell so much after starting so low? It all boils down to categorical rarity .

Applicable to both KOGs and Slammers, an NFT’s rarity falls into one of three categories: Artwork, border type, and border color...

Artwork

Because pack purchases are unlimited during the sale, nobody knows how many pieces of any given design will end up in circulation. It’s possible for you to unearth a 1 out of 1 NFT in one of your packs!
